I love wings. I order them in the most uncommon places. I love service, but I am selective with where I invest my time. I love to learn; I have studied and received advanced degrees in business, social work, and theology. I constantly read because, as I read some time ago, "Be wary of the person who reads only one book." The point is to be well-rounded and avoid echo chambers, which is what I strive for in my life.
I have served or continue to serve on various boards, including a publicly traded company, private and civic organizations, and universities, both domestic and international. I enjoy sitting at the intersection of these experiences to see what’s the same, what’s different, and what new insights are generated as a result.
Ethics in business, any type of business, doesn’t have to be overly complicated; it’s about what most reasonable people would do. On this site, I'll talk about some of this and more. I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt and flexibility. If you try to control people and every outcome, what a boring life that would be. I am always open to a set of outcomes that’s good for you and me. I think the world would be better and our communities would be better if we all subscribed to this belief. I am grateful because I have been granted so many opportunities and my God is real!
